V&F offers software in four categories:

The V&F Analyzers will be shipped with the following pieces of software which are included in the price of the analyzer:
This program runs on an external PC to control the V&F Analyzers. The V&F Viewer program enables you to interact with your V&F Analyzer. In your analyzer the V&F Server program is running and will accept your request from the V&F Viewer program.
V&F Server (former V&F Analyzer) is a piece of software running on an embedded CPU in the V&F Analyzer itself and controls the whole machine. All the measurement and controlling functionality is localized in this software.
V&F History is a tool that runs on an external PC and enables you to view saved data files generated by V&F Viewer. With V&F Hsitory you can easily explore data files that contain measurement results of a V&F Analyzer.
The V&F Tobacco program is a tool to visualize V&F data files that are generated using our V&F Analyzers together with a smoking machine to analyze cigarette smoke.
V&F Simulation software consists of a Par-0 file with an included hardware simulation component. Using this Par-0 file togehter with V&F Viewer you can easily simulate a V&F Analyzer IMR-MS hardware.
V&F Drivers are used for the control of the DAC and ADC converters within the V&F Analyzer. These drivers have to be installed on the internal embedded CPU of a V&F Analyzer.
For different types of interfaces the V&F Analyzers can be equipped with the following optional pieces of software that have to be licensed:
V&F Analyzers can work as multiplexers in an AK environment also. With this feature a host computer can control additional controllers like sample switching systems via one single line. The V&F Analyzer in this case works like a multiplexer.
V&F Connect is a program that runs on an external PC and offers other programs a standard interface to control the V&F Analyzer. Your program interacts with the server by calling functions or checking properties of the communication objects which are provided by V&F Connect, which handles all the communication details for you in the background.
V&F Sensor Interface
The V&F Sensor Interface has been designed to embed the V&F Analyzers in very fast automation processes. The sensor interface includes a serial interface and a digital input. To start a measurement sequence the digital input is used. This allows an exact synchronization of a measurement cycle of the analyzer with the surrounding process.
V&F DDE Server
The task of the DDE Server is to convert the DDE commands of any DDE Client program to .net commands and on the other way to translate back the results from the V&F Server program to DDE values.
The communication between the DDE Client and the DDE Server is based on the Microsoft DDE standard, the communication between the DDE Server and the V&F Server software takes place over the .net standards.
The following pieces of add-on software are free of charge, but you need an V&F Connect interface installed on the analyzer:
V&F Averaging calculates arithmetic mean values (for minutes or hours or multiples) of measured values and saves those average values at a predefined time into a file.
V&F Fieldbus Slave
V&F Fieldbus Slave enables the control of a V&F Analyzer via a Profibus interface. You can also use the interface to transmit data between the V&F Analyzer and any other PLC via Profibus. Other interfaces (eg.: Modbus, etc.) are available upon request.
V&F Station Sequencer
V&F Station Sequencer generates data files in a predefined format (minimum , maximum, average und standard deviation of each component) from each station (sample point). For every station you can define a certain setup, gas inlet and measuring time. Optionally you can define sequences of stations that should be measured.
V&F Plus enables you the control the V&F AutoSampler or alternatively an Agilent headspace AutoSamplers in combination with one of our V&F Analyzers.
V&F Trigger switches digital output, analog outputs or even list values dependend upon the status of a digital trigger input. This tool is used to get the data from several smoke machines.
