V&F welcomes Christopher Carl as Sales Manager, Western and Eastern Europe
V&F Analyse- und Messtechnik GmbH has appointed Christopher Carl as Sales Manager for Western and Eastern Europe. Christopher has a degree as a chemical engineer and brings many years of sales experience in analytical instruments, especially in mass specs.

Exchange set for defective voltage selector switches is available
We use the pre-vacuum diaphragm pumps MV2 and MV2 NT since 2009 within our IMR-MS analyzers. Those pumps are equipped with a voltage selector switch to enable 110V or 220V power supply.
In a few cases the pre-vacuum pump didn’t work due to a defective voltage selector switch. This new article allows a service technician to exchange the defective voltage selector switch instead of the complete diaphragm pump.

Depending on the local power supply (110V or 220V AC) we have used different sample pumps inside of our mass specs. Now there is a new sample pump available that has got the same throughput of 3l/min and additionally can be configured for 100V or 220V power supply.
This new sample pump will be assembled in all new instruments with a pumped gas inlet. This article is compatible with all analyzer instruments of the 2011 series or newer.

New Fieldbus interfaces and protocols available
Fieldbus is the name of a family of industrial computer network protocols used for real-time distributed control, standardized as IEC 61158.
A complex automated industrial system usually needs a distributed control system—an organized hierarchy of controller systems—to function. In this hierarchy, there is usually a Human Machine Interface (HMI) at the top, where an operator can monitor or operate the system.
This is typically linked to a middle layer of programmable logic controllers (PLC) via a non-time-critical communications system (e.g. Ethernet).
At the bottom of the control chain is the fieldbus that links the PLCs to the components that actually do the work, such as sensors, actuators, electric motors, console lights, switches, valves and contactors. The complete range of V&F mass spectrometers can be configured to interface with any PLC system using any Fieldbus network protocol.
Actually we support the following Fieldbus protocols:
- Open Modbus TCP
- PROFINET IO-RT
- Profibus DP
The only prerequisites for implementing a communication via Fieldbus are:
- Modbus RTE slave board (Art# 800352)
- Software License Connect (Art# 800132) or Software License Connect for IMR-MS (Art# 800133)
